IntroductionHi I'm Ruth (MrsW), Welcome to my blog! After a decade raising our children I now work as an Accounts Administrator. I'm slowly working my way through an Accounting Degree via correspondance. My ever loving and patient DH (MrW) and I have two gorgeous boys who are 10&11, we also have two cats and one pet fish. Several years ago we moved from rural Auckland to the city in order to be closer to MrW's work. MrW and I are competitive Road Cyclists in our 'spare' time. After we moved to the city I started back working, so the novelty of being on two incomes after a decade surviving on one income meant we were enjoying a bit of non-essential spending. With a few recent events happening the realisation has come that we cannot continue like this if we wish to get ahead in life, so it's time to re-focus and go back to the basics - cooking from scratch, saving our hard earned money and NOT spending it all and living a happy, healthy, simple and frugal lifestyle (as much as we can). So for now we have to remind ourselves of the important things in life and to slow down and take time to smell the roses :)
