| Introduction | My art interest presented itself early in my life. It seems that I have always been drawing lines or making color-shapes in my mind. After filling many sketchbooks when I was 7 or 8, working through a Jon Gnagy Art Kit during high school, and sending off lessons to the Famous Artists Course, I then went on to receive a BA in Fine Art and Psychology from Southwest Baptist University. In the 1980s I worked in black and white commercial art illustration for a local advertising agency. In the 1990s, I entered street fairs and sold commissioned portraits. In 2005, I put my art career on hold to care for my aging mother. In 2012 I resumed my art career by trying plein air painting in pastel. Later I decided to switch to plein air in oils. I enjoy networking and painting with other plein air artists and combining my love of painting, being outdoors, and traveling. I am currently very excited about my current series of historic agricultural structures, older homes, and visually celebrating the history and culture that made our way of living today possible.
