| Introduction | I live in Knoxville, TN with my husband and three house rabbits. I am in graduate school in the chemistry department at the University of Tennessee studying theoretical and computational chemistry. Robert Harrison is my advisor. My research project is an international, interdisciplinary collaborative effort between Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the University of Zürich, the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) and the University of Bern, Switzerland. My research seeks to apply theoretical and computational chemistry to modeling diffuse scattering of disordered materials of interest in biochemical and physiological analytical research, such as NaLnF4 an up conversion phosphor used as labels in immunoassays. |
