Introduction	Atiq R Siddiqui, also known as Atiq Anwar Siddiqui is associated with the Archaeological Survey of India for the past thirty years and is well known in the field of museology, Islamic Art and Architecture. Dr.Siddiqui started his professional carrier as Curator, Red Fort Museum, Delhi. After few years he joined National Museum, New Delhi as Head, Historical Arms Department. He has a strong hold in classical languages, such as, Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Urdu and art of Calligraphy/ Culture.He worked in ASI on various capacity in India at Chandigarh, Agra, Chanderi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar and Delhi. He organized various exhibitions on Islamic and Mughal art in Germany, France, Russia and Central Asia. Now he is posted at head quarter office of the ASI, New Delhi as Superintending Archaeologist in the Excavation& Exploration Section. Dr.Siddiqui is well read, well traveled and well educated scholar in the field of Archaeology , art, Culture and World Heritage. He has three books in his cridet. His forth coming book in two volumes is on Cultural Heritage of Islamic Civilization.
