Sponges and tongues are frequently misspelled. Is it because both are thirsty?
The one has nothing to with the other. The reason why tongues may be misspelled is because of the silent 'u' The spelling for sponges seem simple enough to me, and the two words don't even rhyme. So do not know why they would be paired because the spelling have little in common
