Introduction | 60 years going on 20 and 120. Married for more than 40 fabulous years to a scientist/professor with 3 wonderful adult children and a wonderful daughter-in-law. No grandkids yet (keeping my fingers crossed that eventually I’ll have some to spoil.) From an old Texas family, but live on Florida’s Treasure Coast (similar climates). Now that I can no longer work full time (Hallelujah!) I can finally enjoy my love of fiber arts. With a lack of LYS, I decide to learn how to spin so I could have a never ending supply for yarn. I now find joy and peace and a wonderful creative outlet behind my spinning wheel and yarn has become the end product. I currently spend most of my time using a drum carder to create batts for spinning and then spinning those batts. I also have a lot of fun selling my yarns and occasionally spinning or knitting at Yarn It! the new LYS on the Treasure Coast. I am also a member of Phatfiber. |
