| Introduction | Central America is definitely not on the UK's domestic news radar. Regrettably this is not because the region is stable, peaceful and prosperous, but rather because its particular problems - human trafficking, drug cartels, poverty and inequality to name but a few - have little economic or political implications for Britain. After spending some time translating and reporting for Guatemalan news agency, Inforpress, I was inspired and compelled to bring the issues that Guatemala faces to a audience here at home. |
