| Introduction | My name is S. LaDon Ware and I am originally from Kalamazoo, MI. I spent 13 years out in the Denver, Co. area and I have now lived in Savannah, GA for almost 3 years. I love Savannah. I am an advocate for the Homeless and am unapologetically Christian. I am the father of a daughter who is 15 years old and her name is Makayla. She is one of the smartest people I have ever met. I helped her write her first book for a 'Reading Rainbow' contest seven years ago, and of 148 entries her book came in 3rd! (YEAH MAKAYLA!!!!) She is an artist as well like me and my ex-father-in-law. I am the youngest of four boys raised by my mom. She is the single biggest influence on my life and I don't know of anyone with as much integrity and love and commitment as her. She is a woman of powerful faith in God and I only hope to make her proud of what I can accomplish in this world. She battled Lupus the whole time I was growing up and even though there were times when she was too sick to move, her faith sustained her and us. I have written 7 children's book, I am a playwright and I have also penned a book of poetry called ‘Serious Black’. |
