Her creative writing and poetry has appeared in various publications and won numerous awards. She is married with three adult children. Her nephew Matthew and his wife Lina live in Winterthur, Switzerland, where Matthew is a PhD student who does research on extinct dwarf elephants on the Mediterranean islands, and Lina is an intern in Marketing and Computational Linguistics. Last but not least, Zephney Kennedy is a South African-born Presbyterian minister with an interest in history, words, nature and Christian discipleship.
