| Introduction | Before I started to teach high school biology I spent time as an Air Force photographer during the Korean War. This photographic background led to a ten year summer job photographing and producing fifty audio visual programs for the NASCO company of Fort Atkinson, WI. These slide programs were used in high schools in the United States and Canada and covered subjects in biology, science, art, home economics and agriculture. I retired from teaching full time in 1990 but was hired back part time to teach computers to elementary teachers and students. After nine years I retired a second time, purchased a Canon digital SLR with a telephoto lens and started the new hobby of bird photography.
