I am a wife, mother, grandmother who also had a career as a teacher in the NYC public schools and Brooklyn College. I am interested in local and natinal politics and seriously concerned about the increasing gulf between the rich and poor in our country. Given the increasing numbers (and growing) of computers currently in American homes, will this increase the numbers of young people reading serious fiction?
