| Introduction | I'm a current dean’s list senior at Duquesne University in the School of Education, where I'm studying Secondary Mathematics Education, while also pursuing a separate Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics through the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts. At Duquesne, I am a member of the Honors College, while being heavily involved in eight student organizations with vast experience in leadership in Presidency and Finance. I have hands-on experience in the field of education, from both pre-pandemic classroom observation and my current position as a K-12 mathematics tutor. I also have a passion for education research and reform, which led me to submit original research at Duquesne’s Undergraduate Research Symposium in 2021, which led me to win an award from Duquesne Office of Student Research: Counselor Education Program. Upon graduation in May 2022, I plan to be a full-time high school mathematics teacher (hopefully somewhere warmer than Pittsburgh). In my free time, I love hanging out with my friends and family, as well as cooking, hiking, and shopping. |
