| Introduction | Welcome to our Family Web Blog. We (DJ and Heather) have created this page to chronicle our lives for both our kids to remember and as a place to share pictures and events with family and friends. We have been married almost 11 years now and are the proud parents of 4 great kids. We have three girls (Zoe, Violet, Marina) and a baby boy (Gavin). We have a couple of cats and hope to get a portuguese water dog when the kids get old enough to help take care of it. I already have a name picked out for her "Sailor" We have our hands full for now though so it will have to wait. Thank you for stopping in and send us your link if you have your own blog! |
| Interests | We love to travel but with 4 kids the trips are more local now. We try to camp a few times each summer, vacation a few weeks in Maine on Mt. Dessert Island with the extended family and take a timeshare trip somewhere each year. If we had more time and money we would do it more often. We are planning a two week trip to Disney and the FL coast next year. We also like to boat but will have to stick to the canoe for a few more years before going back to a larger vessel. We enjoy hiking as a family and are going to try letter boxing this year. We have our supplies all ready and plan to make our own hidden box this fall in our town on one of the local trails. |
| Favorite movies | Movies... What are those? We don't get too many opportunities to get to the movies but for TV shows, I love LOST!!! (thanks Karen for getting me into it) My husband is a big fan of CSI and 24 |
| Favorite music | One of my favorite artists is Peter Gabriel and my husbands is without a doubt U2! We both like country too. One of my all time favorite songs is by Marc Cohen "true companion" because it is our wedding song and has special meaning to us. |
| Favorite books | hmm... I have read some good ones with my bookclub but none that are outstanding recently. I enjoyed the book "Angry housewives eating bon bons" also another great read was "The Other Boleyn Girl" and "Kite Runner" I am in the process of reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini. |
