| Introduction | Christina's desire to serve on City Council stems her enjoyment in three main things: exchanging ideas, promoting an inclusive community, and creating solutions that make sense. She understands the challenges of working two jobs and finding an affordable place to live, as she spent years waiting tables nights and weekends to supplement her income, and commuted to work from a less expensive home in the county. In 2004 Christina purchased a townhome at Parkside Terrace near downtown, a high density infill project of which she was an outspoken advocate where she and her husband live today with their dog. Christina also understands the need for senior and assisted living services, as she helped to take care of her mother for a short time before she passed away. She is a strong proponent of buying locally when possible and supporting Durango's people and businesses. She is an outdoor enthusiast and loves hiking, biking, and running throughout our fabulous trail systems. |
