IntroductionNot much to say here. I'm a recent college grad, engaged to my girlfriend of 17 months. I'm planning on going back to school to earn a PhD in American History and hopefully become a college professor. In the meantime I am looking for some steady employment (aren't we all!) and looking to have some fun while I still can.
InterestsComic books, History, Literature, Music, Movies, Communist memorabilia, Video games, facebook, twitter, what makes the world go round, international and national travel, dynamation.
Favorite moviesLet's see here too many to list so I will just list a couple. Here they are in no particular order: Pulp Fiction, Grindhouse, Star Wars Anthology, Star Trek Anthology, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill vol.1 & 2, The Wrestler, Milk, Slumdog Millionaire, The Watchmen, Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Ran, Kagemusha, American Psycho, Saving Private Ryan...if you want to know more just ask, seriously I have too many to name.
Favorite musicAgain too many to mention so here it goes again in no particular order: Metric, Jenny Lewis, Elvis Costello, Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton, Wilco, Ryan Adams, Pete Yorn, Fleet Foxes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, David Bowie, The Who, The Beatles, Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen, Arcade Fire, Death Cab For Cutie, Postal Service, Rilo Kiley, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D...again too many to mention so just ask if you really want to know.
Favorite booksNot too big on fiction but I do read it occasionally. I mostly alternate between non-fiction and fiction. Here are a few of my favorites in no particular order both fiction and non-fiction: Democracy in America- Alexis de Tocqueville, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle- Haruki Murakami, Common Sense- Thomas Paine, 1776- David McCullough, The Caine Mutiny- Herman Wouk,From Beirut to Jerusalem- Thomas Friedman, The World is Flat- Thomas Friedman, Walden, Civil Disobedience- Henry David Thoreau,Guns, Germs, and Steel- Jared Diamond, Fly Boys- James Bradley, Among the Dead Cities- A.C.
