| Introduction | This blog was set up to keep Action Partners updated on the OIYP YPMM program. YPMM is a personal development opportunity where learning is through engaging in new and unique experiences in Israel/Palestine. Yana Poorrpa Minot Meng is the language of the Gunditjmara people in Western Victoria Australia “Meaning walking with the earths spirit” the gunditjmara culture has existed for over 40 000 years. For those that participate in this program the advice from an Indigenous perspective for when we embark on this journey is to remember that no human being is older then the land. The land has witnessed many individuals journey. As we walk through the Holy Land remain respectful of the land and the people that we meet and the stories they carry. All people matter and all people belong. When faced with the experiences (the positive and the negative) remember to look around and realise you are never alone on this earth. |
