Desert Strega: Writing and Reading in New Mexico

About me

Introduction	I started this blog because I want a space where I can share my ideas about writing and reading. I will be focusing on my own experiences as an Italian American woman writer who grew up in a working-class, immigrant family. My current life as an academic and writer is very different than what I experienced the first 30 years of my life. Once I entered graduate school, my world shifted quite a bit. At that time I also moved from the east coast to New Mexico and made a home for myself in the southwestern desert.
Interests	My interests include writing, reading, traveling, cultural identity and values, languages,music, cooking, and teaching.
