| Introduction | I’m a writer and gave up my teaching career to become a full time author, moving from Dorset to the western edge of Reading. I live with my husband Mr B, our two cats, three chickens, and a very large Goldendoodle puppy. My children are grown up but visit often. I enjoy reading and writing, gardening and craft work, travel and adventures, and most of all, the natural world. My idea of heaven is to be out walking all day in the woods or hills. Writing Stonewylde completely changed my life. I originally self-published the first three books, and then the five book series was bought by Orion Books. The books have been republished under their Gollancz imprint, and are read by adults and teenagers. Stonewylde readers have grown into a huge community; there’s an active social network, a Facebook page and a website. Getting to know many of my readers has enriched my life immensely and we have regular meet-ups and gatherings. Now that the Stonewylde series is complete, I’m considering what to do next. Exciting times! |
