| Introduction | Hello, I am a home grown cook born and raised in New Orleans where food is not looked upon as nourishment but a wonderful way of life. Being half Cajun and Italian has given me a unique blend of cooking styles that excite the pallet. In this blog I want to share my family recipes and the recipes from the neighborhoods of New Orleans and around Louisiana. I got started years ago as a child watching my Cajun mom and grandmother cook. Where do I get the recipes? Most of the recipes I post I have created and tested on family and friends. Through this blog you'll find many family recipes, and recipes my mother pulled over the past 30 years from cookbooks, magazines, and newspaper clippings from which she’d create her own variations. |
