Occupation Former Senior Website Editor
Location Honolulu, Hawaii, United States
Introduction I was the Senior Website Editor of 3 travel websites in Hawaii, until our department was outsourced early in 2009. I wrote all the content on over 150 Hawaii hotels, packages, activities and restaurant reviews for the sites as well as marketed them on TravelZoo. Prior to that worked for over 35 years for a world-wide, 4-color monthly magazine for the military writing about Hawaii, travel articles and restaurant reviews. The restaurant reviews are “recommended only”. My philosophy has always been in reviewing restaurants to look for good value for your money, whether it is a budget or high-end restaurant. We pay for all our own meals and do not accept advertising from any of the restaurants reviewed. Many of these are small and cannot afford advertising in the visitor magazines of the daily newspaper, which makes them almost unknown to visitors as these are mainly neighborhood spots. I’ll be adding new restaurants weekly for great inexpensive dining. Bon Appetit!

James Mitchner, especially Chesapeake because it was so like where I grew up and geese flew past the full moon and we could hear them calling to each other and the corn rustling and smell the wood from the fireplace - it was a magical, unforgettable moment that I knew it would remember always and then read the identical thing in his book...wow, blew me away.

When he/she either abducts me or says ciao bella!
