Introduction	Kenna Griffin is a Ph.D. candidate in the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communications. Griffin also is an assistant professor in Oklahoma City University’s Mass Communications Department, which she joined in 2003. Griffin’s professional experience includes working as a staff writer at The Oklahoman and managing editor for the Guthrie News Leader. She continues to work as a corresponding writer for The Oklahoman. Griffin has a master’s of education from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond and a bachelor of arts from Oklahoma City University.
