Introduction | I am currently Dean of the George Washington University School of Business. Previously, I was Professor of Management and Daniel P. Paduano Faculty Fellow at the NYU-Stern School of Business. I also hold appointments as Professor of Sociology on NYU’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences and as Academic Director of the Berlin School of Creative Leadership (www.berlin-school.com). In research, teaching, and consulting, my focus lies in the fields of management, leadership, corporate governance, and economic reform in China. I have written numerous books and articles about these topics and have a passion for teaching about them. In the past, I have taught at the Business Schools of Harvard, INSEAD, Stanford and Columbia. I received my B.A. degree in Chinese Literature from the University of Chicago and M.A. and Ph.D. in Organizational Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley. (email: guthrie@gwu.edu). |
