| Introduction | My parents purchased The Tanque Verde House in 1990. My childhood was spent swimming in the pool, playing in the wash with my brothers and skating in the carport. The Tanque Verde House has been the backdrop for childhood memories, teenage antics, first loves, broken hearts, broken bones, divorce, marriage, graduations, births and deaths. It has been the place to gather during all of lifes events. Since the walls of The Tanque Verde House can’t actually talk, I will attempt to chronicle some of the many stories from our past and the adventures yet to come. It won’t be an easy task for my parents to downsize or for us to take on the responsibility of the family gathering place but, with the strength of our family love and the many walls of The Tanque Verde House, I know we’ll survive. Hopefully, with many more stories to come. |
