Introduction	I am a 9th generation descendant of French Huguenots who came to South Africa in 1711. I have grown up in an old pioneering family who still believed in living out the principles of our forefathers. We were taught to value and love our traditions, stories and heritage. Today I live just outside George on the Garden Route. I'm future-orientated but what shapes my course are the experiences and stories of the past.
