Introduction	my favorite author, anne lamott, tells this story of how her brother was trying to write a paper about birds that he had 3 months to write, and decided to wait till the night before to do it. they were at their family cabin and he was sitting at the kitchen table close to tears surrounded by paper, pencils, and books on birds. it was at this time his father sat down next to them, put his arm around him and said "bird by bird, buddy. just take it bird by bird" this is something i try to remember in my life daily. i always get so overwhelmed by the little things, i just need to remember one thing at time.....just, bird by bird.
