| Introduction | Gretchen uses paint as a medium to explore beauty in the world. She approaches artwork with a love of the outdoors and many years spent at sea working as a sail trainer. Gretchen is mainly a self taught artist who did her undergraduate work at Middlebury College in VT and her graduate work in geography/climatology at UNC at Chapel Hill. Both her studies and her life experiences have contributed to the style and subjects of her paintings. She is currently living in upstate NY with her husband and young boy/girl twins who inspire her art daily. |
