| Introduction | This is my 26 year as a music teacher. I spent the first 10 years teaching music at Hollywood Elementary School in College Park, MD. When I first came to Calvert County, I taught 2 years at Southern Middle School and then 2 years at Mill Creek Middle School. Since then, I have been here at Huntingtown Elementary. I love this school. Every student is in important to me. I try and make sure that when you leave HES to go on to middle school and beyond, that you have a sense of true joy when it comes to music and creating music. Music should be a lifelong journey- whether it is for enjoying with your loved ones, sharing it in a community band or chorus, or using it to help with your religious beliefs...it is part of the fabric of our lives. |
| Interests | I like to create pottery, read, exercise, spend time with my family, play and sing at the piano. |
| Favorite movies | My current favorites (they change often) in films are The Hundred Foot Journey, Austenland (when I need a laugh) and West Side Story. |
| Favorite music | I like just about every kind of music. The only time I really listen to hard rock is when I am exercising and really trying to push myself. Everything else is great anytime. |
