Introduction I love stillness. I have learned that I can be still while moving, as I have cultivated that ability in my journey of life, especially in recent years. My life has seen a lot of activity in single parenting, having a houseful of boys for numerous sleepovers, running back and forth over the miles to take care of an elderly parent. My career choices, too, have usually been fast paced, from teaching classes all day with a few minutes' break to working at a daily newspaper and nonprofit fundraising. I don't like being on a hamster wheel, rushing and running all the time, but I'm no couch potato either. I am an active, fit woman who loves taking long walks and doing yoga and working out in the gym. and in all these activities, whether physically moving or working with people all day, I have learned to be still and to focus on my breath and my God. We read numerous times in scripture where Jesus pulled away and retreated regularly. We should use Him as our example, for in the busyness of his brief ministry on earth, He knew what to do to reconnect with His thoughts and His Father. Join me on my journey as we learn to pull back and stop trying to be everything to everyone. Be still ...

The squish of mud between your toes; how would you live your life as a frog?

I would enjoy the benefits of the mud baths and be thankful that I have no bills to pay.
