| Introduction | My love of jewelry making began when I was given my great grandmother's Apache Bead Loom. I was about 10 years old. To this day, I still have and use the bead loom for bracelets. My interest in crafts continued to grow. I was influenced by my Grandmother, who knitted and painted on porcelain, my mother, who sews and makes beautiful baskets, and my father, who taught industrial arts. He still has a great workshop with wonderful tools. I began selling my beaded jewelry in the mid-eighties at local craft shows and started making my own glass beads soon after. Over the last 15 years, I have continually added my own fabricated components to my jewelry and now most pieces are entirely handmade in my studio. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation from the design through the final polish. |
