| Introduction | I will be the first to admit that I am not much of a journalist. Sometimes I have a hard time putting two sentences together, but I'm going to do this anyway. My name is Allison, and I am a 53 year young mother of 2. I have been married to the same man for 30 years. I was a Real Estate agent in Las Vegas for 16 years, when my husband was injured on the job and had to retire. Two years ago, we bought a 28' motor home. After several yard sales and giveaways, not to mention many tears, we packed up what we could fit in the RV and took off across the country. We have temporarily settled in Florida where we are currently helping to take care of my husband's aging parents. My 22 year old daughter, who will someday be a doctor, suggested I start writing a blog. I wasn't sure exactly what I would write about, but cooking and my attempts to get healthier will be the major point of my blog. I have serious issues with willpower and a fondness for wine, so my journey towards getting healthy has had many a roadblock... maybe if I write it down..... |
