| Occupation | Ex railway guard Kidderminster and Stourbridge Jcn and Booking Clerk, Stourbridge Town |
| Location | St Blazey, Cornwall, United Kingdom |
| Introduction | After a brief career in Analytical Chemistry, I began my railway career as a Guard at Kidderminster until closure, then moved as a guard to Stourbridge Junction until the depot temporarily closed when I became a Booking Clerk at Stourbridge Town (shortest public branch line in the world). Total railway service - 26 years, when I decided to do property restoration and then run a bar in Spain. While I still worked for BR, I was a Station Master on the SVR at Highley. So why the 'handle' of St Blazey 1925? Well 1925 is when the last scheduled passenger service called at St Blazey station! The platforms are still there but grown over. The signal box survives. I am now retired. |
