| Introduction | My name is Emily Cain, and I am currently a sophomore at El Cerrito High School. I love nature and pretty much anything related to the outdoors. I try to spend most of my spare time outside, enjoying the natural beauty of the Bay Area. I am fascinated by the relationship between all parts of the environment. Due to this, I hope to one day pursue a career as an environmental scientist. My career aspirations and my knowledge of the highly competitive college environment have motivated me to work hard in school. I push myself to do my best possible work, and constantly challenge myself to overcome obstacles. The Ivy League Connection Program is a fantastic way for me to see beyond high school. This program will provide me with the opportunity to visit, and experience college life. I am excited to gain a new perspective, and hope to come home confident and inspired to make a difference in my community. |
