| Introduction | My brother and I grew up in a tropical area on the east coast of Africa ... rained hard, but stayed warm. We would sit in our dad's Austin and create stories, like traveling to the past and rescuing my father from danger during WW2 ... we found a spaceship that flies anywhere and anytime. Now, I am a mature (in age, not action ... hahaha) student studying toward a BA in Creative Writing. My favourite literary genre? You guessed it ... Sci-Fi. I read lots of other types of texts, such as adventure, magazines, even the back of the loo door (no horror tho'). Things I like to do: take photos ... write poetry ... fascinated with the earth sciences, astronomy, history, politics, and so much more. I have 4 children, 6 grandkids, but I'm a YOUNG grandma. I had a boxing match with cancer (brain tumour, go figure) starting mid-2008. It sure changed my perspective on life, and I learned a lot about myself ... I ain't that weak. I am stronger than I thought I was. I dance, sing and write when I want. Life is too short to be a 'grumpalumps.' Laughing is the best exercise. |
