| Introduction | I write what I love, which is Young Adult. As a member of SCBWI and the Florida Writers Association, I enjoy telling stories that blend the past with the present. It's my subtle way of sparking kids' interest in my favorite subject ― history, of course. I credit my son for becoming a writer. One day my gifted reader wondered why there weren't books with kids of color having amazing adventures. Being the good mom that I am, I set out to change that. With any luck, he'll be reading a book inspired by him before he finishes high school. |
