| Introduction | I have been birding since 1980 when, as an undergraduate at UM-Dearborn, MI I took a field biology class and became hooked on birds. Since then I have had a passion for trying to photograph them. In 2003 I discovered the art of Digiscoping, or photographing birds with a spotting scope and point and shoot camera. Since then I have been photographing / documenting birds while trying to improve my skills. In 2007 I started blogging to record my observations / photos and provide a narrative of my adventures / experiences. In 2015 Robin and I moved to Brownstown, MI. We are now closer to nature and enjoying retirement living at Brownton Abbey (our new home). This blog chronicles our daily life here that now includes our cats Taige, Yara, Echo (feral), Tanner (feral) and Luka (feral), birds, and now most recently astrophotography, drypoint printing (me) and creative arts (Robin). |
