Introduction	Jessica Giraldo was born in Elizabeth, NJ but grew up in Miami, FL. She attended Braddock Sr. High c/o 2001 (go Bulldogs!) and is now finishing her A.A. in Pre-Law/Paralegal at Miami Dade College. She plans on obtaining her B.A. in Communications and working with Teach for America for two years. She is also considering a Juris Doctorate or a Masters in Public Administration. She is currently working on a leadership team building project through the LLI Miami Cohort with the goal of enabling high school students at an underprivileged school to go through a college application process while offering support in areas of need, such as mentoring and tutoring. She is also the newsletter chair for her local paralegal association and volunteers with the Everybody Wins! South Florida reading program for elementary kids. She aspires to a career in empowering young people, and is interested in education and law. She enjoys writing, reading, spending time with family, and learning new things, whether a recipe or new technology. She hopes to inspire more Latinos to pursue higher education and assist them with this journey.
