| Introduction | I have been an artist, exhibiting and competing, for 36 years. First as a painter (oils, watercolors, acrylics), then I gradually moved into craft endeavors. For the last 10 years I have been working successfully in jewelry design, bead weaving, and lately, polymer clay arts. Some of the magazines for which I have written articles are Bead&Button Magazine, Step by Step Beads, and Bead World and I have been included in several books. But, I am at heart a painter and I want to paint again. So I have given myself an assignment: reconnect with my painterly side, while maintaining the beading/polymer clay business that I have worked so hard to build up over this last decade. This blog will serve mainly as a chronicle of my progress, obstacles, distractions, and a spur to urge me along when it seems easier to procrastinate. And over this next year we will see if I am able to accomplish my goal. Meanwhile, though, I hope to also share ideas, tips, and "how to" info.
