Introduction Hello, my name is Wanda. I am an old skool Brooklyn Mom with a modern punch. I’m married with 3 kids, 2 boys, 23 & 16 & a girl, 20. We all live together in a 3 bdrm apt. So to say we are close is an understatement…we are cramped. I wanted to start a blog to share my life experiences. My children are 3rd generation Brooklyn born. We are heart & soul Brooklyn. Yet I have a very strong connection to Mother Earth. I am not one of those new-fangled parents. I’m old school, rock & roll. My kids never got timed out – they got punished. I have found, through trial & error, that to connect to Mother Earth you didn’t need to live in wide open spaces, but just be kind to her. So my way of green living, brings me closer to that connection. I also love doing crafts. I’d love to share some of my DIY crafts with you also. They are usually stupid easy, so anyone can do it. I do hate cooking. My dream home would not have a kitchen in it. That being said, I do have to cook sometimes. I will not spend more than 30 minutes in the kitchen. You will not find cutesy children recipes on here. I’m all about simple.
Interests Love DIY crafts & crocheting. Reading, hanging out with my grown up kids, going to Broadway shows & dining out. I love being with my friends either in person or on FB where you will probably find me.
Favorite Movies Love old classics...Cary Grant, Bette Davis, James Stewart, Jean Arthur. Loved how they dressed, something I do miss in today's society. Whatever happened to class? Movies I never get tired of watching are: The Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind, Arsenic & Old Lace. I love anything by Alfred Hitchcock. Film Noir is my new obessesion
Favorite Music Old time Rock & Roll. I am a child of the 60s. It is in my bones, can't shake it. But I also cannot shake my Spanish roots. Family parties with salsa & merenque music on, my feet can't stop moving.
Favorite Books Grew up reading Nancy Drew - hence my love of a good mystery. Mary Higgins Clark, James Patterson & Carol Higgins Clark are my big girl favorites. I adore Harry Potter & wished I went to Hogwarts.

You've been invited to a fancy ball but the only thing you have to wear is an orange wooly jumper. What shoes do you wear?

Always go with black. If you invest in a good pair of black pumps, your legs will always look HOT!
