Introduction Hi, I’m Halim and I write TransitionMomBlog (who Jane is) to help man make the transition from full-time father to successful entrepreneur (the reader’s problem or goal). I started TransitionMomBlog in 2004 (Jane’s expertise – shows she has been blogging for two years) to help other women deal with the sometimes overwhelming prospect of starting a new business while still running a household (how Jane helps them overcome their problem or achieve their goal). Prior to raising my family, I spent over ten years as a teacher, corporate trainer and workshop leader
Interests My main interest is classic movies and I have lots of sites devoted to my favorite classic movies, actors, actresses, and directors. I love creating sites about them and some are quite extensive. I'm also interested in genealogy and have a section of my site devoted to the history of my family. Be sure to see my full List of Surnames in this section. There are over 700 names from my family tree that goes back to the 1700's.
Favorite Movies The Best Years of Our Lives, directed by William Wyler, 1946 - This is my all time favorite film. It tells the story of three soldiers returning home from World War II. Perhaps what I like the most is that its subject lets you see what it must have really been like when GI's returned home after WWII. Normally, we don't get to glimpse average people with average life struggles who face problems of adjusting to life after such a war. The cinematography is superb and the directing is flawless. William Wyler is definitely one of the best directors ever and that may be why there are two other films he directed which are on my list.
Favorite Music Well, unless ‘Sex On The Beach’ by the Vengaboys and ‘(I Wanna Be) Your Underwear’ by Bryan Adams gets you in a sensual mood, of course. Yikes.
Favorite Books I don't have one. Too many out there and too many sides to me to choose. I have a kind of list of them though, the ones I'd always re-buy if I had to do so. The ones I'd never purge from my library. But it's a list and not a single book. I remember reading the Hiding Place as a young teenager and it scared the hell out of me...the inhumanity of it all. But the other side of the coin was also there and the message was positive.

What a damn ugly motherfucker??
