| Introduction | Robert Bazil has more than a decade of professional experience in strategic communications. He has a strong understanding of media strategy and how to communicate effectively through new and emerging media. He is a skilled writer and editor and has completed numerous assignments in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. A Citizen of Canada and Guyana, Robert Bazil has provided communications counsel, research and writing services, media monitoring, event planning and management support during his career. He spent years working in progressive positions at the Guyana Chronicle, Guyana Elections Commission, Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company and the Commonwealth Youth Program. Mr. Bazil won the first place award for excellence in biodiversity reporting in a competition sponsored by Conservation International in 1999. He began his career as a journalist with the Guyana Chronicle where he wrote political, international, human rights, economic and crime news, feature articles and a weekly column. In Canada, he has interned as a Business Communications Writer with Bell Mobility's Professional Management Program and the Town of Richmond Hill Municipal Headquarters. |
