| Introduction | I have been developing and managing faith-based justice, peace, cross-cultural, and community service programs for nearly 20 years. I am a founder and current president of Just Haiti, a fair trade coffee project located in Haiti (www.justhaiti.org). My current day job is with Catholic Relief Services. I have worked with Christian Peacemaker Teams in Colombia and Palestine, accompanying rural communities at risk of violence from armed groups, and on the U.S.-Mexico border with groups trying to prevent migrant deaths. I worked in parish ministry for nearly eight years, where I was responsible for developing and managing parish-based justice and service ministries. I hold a Doctor of Ministry degree, in cross-cultural ministry, from Catholic Theological Union, where I also have taught a course on social and economic justice ministry. I enjoy consulting with parishes and other groups who want to establish or develop their own international mission and solidarity projects, and present often, in various venues, on those topics. |
