| Introduction | Having spent much of my life going to school, studying and teaching writing and literature, I moved away from my homestate of Missouri and onto my bicycle in June 2009. I guess this blog is an account of being a bikeabond. I grew up in the Ozarks on a little farm, with parents who got tired of city life in St. Louie and moved "back to the land" in the seventies. My folks' practiced simplicity has always been an inspiration. I love music, have been in several bands of varying styles, all sort of amateur but fun. I'm crazy for the outdoors, animals, flowers, forests, water. I'm infected with an insatiable desire to travel and experience. And drink beer and go swimming. And catch big fish. Whatever. |
