Introduction	I grew up in Richwood, West Virginia, gateway to some of the most beautiful wilderness you will ever see. Of course, I didn’t appreciate it until I moved away. Always interested in writing, I decided that journalism was a way to get paid to write. I earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a master’s degree in public relations from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. I lived in Huntington for about 10 years, five of those years working at The Herald-Dispatch. I loved living in Huntington. In 2002, I moved to Fairmont, West Virginia, to pursue a career in public relations, a way to get paid for writing for a variety of media. I am public relations director for Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College. Working in a college environment allows me to meet new people and learn something new every day, like blogging.
