Introduction	I’m misplaced. What is this sprawling city of 470 square miles and 3.8 million people? I’m from the Midwest. Magnolia, OH, to be exact. A quaint village of 1 square mile and 930 people. Yes, you read that right, 930 people. I’ve looked at apartment complexes that held more people than my entire hometown. How did I get to LA, you ask? Well, that is all my husband, Jared’s fault. A library supervisor by day and screenwriter by night, we really didn’t have a choice: Hollywood was calling his name. I cook comfort food. I long to be back in Ohio in my mom’s (or gram’s) kitchen, but until then, I’m just passing the time in SoCal by cooking all the things that remind me of home (and maybe a few new things, as well).
