| Introduction | I am 58, married and a politician. I have recently been elected as the first SNP Councillor in North-West Dumfries. The Local Government election was on Thursday May 3rd and was run under the Single Transferable Vote system, so voters could vote for their first choice, or their second choice, or third. I ended up fourth choice out of seven. I'll be hoping for a better showing next time, but hey, elected is elected! |
