| Introduction | I live in Suffolk in a small market town not far from the North Sea in between Aldeburgh and Felixstowe. I've always enjoyed being near the sea and have previously lived in Brighton, San Diego and Perth in Australia!! As a child my holidays were spent on Carnoustie beach in Scotland. My favourite outfit was my 'bumble bee suit' which was a striped beach cover up made of terry towelling. Perhaps that was where my fascination with beach wear started! I am intrigued by all the different styles of beach wear from previous decades. My favourire decade being the 1950s - a time when swimwear became more glamourous. I collect items from the 1940s to the 1980s and as well as swimsuits I have a large range of accessories such as original canvas deckchairs, windbreaks, picnic sets, flasks, hats and sunglasses. |
