Introduction	The seed for Qaalat was planted by JAS (jamaiah aishah siddiqah) students wishing to record moments of wit, sheer dumbness and possible sparks of brilliance. We revel in repeating said moments to everyone we possibly can, but alas a time does arrive when the edges begin to fray and the laughter has a hollow ring to it. Acute observations have revealed, re-narrations months later will once again elicit the same piercing responses. But unfortunately, our limited brain storage prevents us from remembering each and every moment. So we decided to take advantage of the next best thing: Blogger. We have appropriately titled our blog "Qaalat," an arabic verb meaning "she said." We intend to refer back to Qaalat for laughs, fond reminiscing sessions and potential blackmail material ;) Names have been replaced by asterisks to maintain the safety of all individuals involved. We harbor no desire to have rallies and pickets held around the houses of some of our ladies by amorous suitors, whilst some remain spinsters for the remainder of their lives as a consequence of the utterances recorded on Qaalat.
