| Introduction | I was born in Virginia, and mostly raised in Utah. We lived in W. Virginia for 5 years after I was born (dad's family is there) then came west nearer to mom's family. The best years I can remember are the growing up years in Panguitch, Utah. When I was in 7th grade, we moved to Orange County,California. We lived in quite a few different places through my teen years. I never did fit in...and never liked it. Shortly after moving back to Utah, my parents divorced (1971). It was a tough time. I met Lloyd in 1972, and the rest is history! |
| Interests | grandkids, reading, sewing, photography, crocheting, quilting, gardening, crafts, geneology, scrapbooking, sleeping...if I could! |
| Favorite movies | The Quiet Man, Wuthering Heights, Gone With the Wind, Open Range, Second-Hand Lions, Prancer, Sandra Bulloch movies, Tom Seleck westerns, & Sam Elliott movies |
| Favorite music | I like some of most kinds of music except opera and rap. It depends on the mood I am in...or want to be in!! Music can lift my spirits and soul. I still like Carol King & James Taylor. I like to listen to Colby Callait, Tim McGraw, and Taylor Swift with the grandkids. I like to hear some country with Lloyd. And I like the inspirational messages of Hilary Weeks and Joshua Creek. |
| Favorite books | Right now I am reading the 'Twilight' series. I read as many Nancy Drews' as I could get my hands on growing up. I like a good romance...but not sappy! I enjoy a crime solving detective mystery. I just got the last Alex Cross book for Christmas(by James Patterson). I like some Dean Koontz, & am waiting for 'Odd Hours' from Jessie. I don't care much for really bizarre...some of John Saul's are good. Some of Louis L'Amour westerns are good. Thief of Time by ? Hillerman was a good book. I got discouraged with the last of the Clan of the Cave Bear series. The last one is still on the shelf! Claire Polson & Betsy Brannon Green are real good LDS writers. Judith Pella is a good christian writer, and I like the Amish stories by Beverly Lewis. I have liked a few historical novels, but they have to be somewhat entertaining to keep my interest in them! |
