| Introduction | I'm an author, editor, photographer and micro-publisher specializing in felines, fitness and fucked-up '80s alternative rock and metal music. For 7 years, from 1989 - 1996, I was senior editor for RIP, the best heavy music mag of its era. I also wrote for the L.A. Times, L.A. Weekly, Entertainment Weekly, Creem, Hits and a bunch of other lesser rags. My rock photos appeared in many magazines in the 1980s, including Spin, and currently some can be found in the Guns N' Roses book by Stephen Davis, Watch You Bleed. I co-authored White Line Fever, the autobiography of Lemmy Kilmister, frontman of the band Motorhead. As an editor, I collaborate with Sparkle the Designer Cat on her website, sparklecat.com, and have worked with her on one book so far, Dear Sparkle: Advice From One Cat to Another. Dear Sparkle won the Wild Card category t the Hollywood Book Festival in 2007 and Honorable Mention at the New York Book Festival. I live in the Northeast section of Los Angeles with Sparkle, two other freeloading cats, my boyfriend, guitarist Brian Forsythe, and his dog, Sushi. |

| Favorite Movies | Almost Famous, but other than that I mainly watch vintage films: Buster Keaton's The Cameraman and Steamboat Bill, Jr., Harold Lloyd's Why Worry, Cabaret, Clockwork Orange - basically anything really funny or anything that can combine mainstream cinema with a twisted, dark outlook. |

| Favorite Books | I'm a mid-century classics girl: Razor's Edge by W. Somerset Maugham, Franny and Zoey by J.D. Salinger, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey. I also read a lot of biographies and autobiographies by rock 'n' rollers and old time movie stars. My fave is probably John Lydon's Rotten: No Irish No Blacks No Dogs. |
Which is more important to you and why: flexibility or expandability?
Definitely flexibility. I like being supple. I have absolutely no desire to expand. In fact I do everything I can to make sure I remain a size 4.
