Introduction	Joseph Shaules (PhD) has worked in intercultural education in Japan, Mexico and Europe for more than 20 years. He is an associate professor at the Rikkyo University Graduate School of Intercultural Communication, Tokyo. He is a co-presenter on the NHK Television program "Nyuuzu de Eikaiwa". He teaches courses at the International Center of Keio University. He is a founding member and current director of the Japan Intercultural Institute.
